Blame it on Rio (1984)
- IMDB link
- Had one good scene showing lots of topless women at the beach, and nudity by the main actresses elsewhere in the movie. The main character states his discomfort with that sort of nudity, and asks the girls to cover up. However, the movie was more of an extended soap opera of affairs and disturbing relationships between family members. It didn't strike me as a very good movie, and the nudity portion was somewhat sexualized. Not recommended. -- WikiAdmin
The Blue Lagoon (1980)
- IMDB link
- Beautiful film, and shows a somewhat realistic view of what might happen if a brother and sister get stranded on an island. Has a great scene with the adult chasing after the kids saying it's ok to not have a swim costume, and the kids running because they don't want to be naked. Then later on, the kids are naked and running because they don't want to wear clothes, with the adult saying it's not proper to run around naked all the time. Eventually the two get sexual and have a kid, the whole time having no clue as to what is going on. All-in-all, this one is recommended and should be safe for kids. -- WikiAdmin
Diary of a Nudist (1961)
- IMDB link
- A classic 'sexploitation' film designed to show lots of skin. To nudists, this film is quite funny because of how cheesy the resort appears to be. Beyond that, it has a simple but good plot. A news editor finds a nudist resort, and sends his best reporter in to 'expose' them. A few plot twists later, the movie ends on a positive note and promotes naturism. This is a classic that is highly recommended. -- WikiAdmin
How Tasty Was My Little Frenchman (1971)
- IMDB link
- A tribal movie with some historical significance. It's certainly full of nudity -- both male and female -- since almost all of the film is centered around the tribe. There's no sexual stuff, and not a whole lot of graphic violence. It has a reoccurring theme of cannibalism, but it's best to put it into context by watching the dvd extras first. It's not a great movie, but it's not a bad one either. It's not in English, so be prepared to read subtitles. -- WikiAdmin
Maslin Beach (1997)
- IMDB link
- This movie has an enjoyable view of the clothing optional lifestyle, in a way where the clothing didn't matter at all -- some wore it, and some didn't. However, it has an unhealthy view of sex in that it appears to happen often. It has a scene with a father and daughter working up to a sexual relationship. Also, it has a scene with a creep chasing after the hottest girl on the beach (but she handled him well). It shows one married woman who really "gets around" while on the beach. We at least see a balanced gender count with people of all ages and sizes. About half of the scenes could be cut out to improve the movie, but then it would be too short for a movie. I'm really not sure if I should recommend this movie or not... -- WikiAdmin
I am writing with regard to you summary of Maslin Beach. I am the film's director, Wayne Groom. You mention that the movie contains a scene "with a father and daughter working up to a sexual relationship". The scene you refer to is loosely based on Anais Nin, the famous literary figure. She was remarkably liberated in her sexual life, having simultaneous relationships with Henry Miller, Antonin Artaud and her psychiatrist, Dr Otto Rank. She also had a sexual relationship late in life with her estranged father which I found astonishing. The scene in my film attempts to take a satirical look at these relationships. The way you have interpreted this scene is completely misleading. But thank you for your other kind comments. Regards, Wayne --

Medicine Man (1992)
- IMDB link
- An all-around great movie! It raises awareness about the destruction of the rainforests, and shows the indigenous tribe in their usual state of unclad-ness. The nudity blends in well and isn't sexualized at all. There is a scene with all the women working in a line, where the camera pans across them. All are bare-breasted except the last one -- the doctor, and she wonders why they all stare at her like she's the strange one. She's the only one with modesty! This film is highly recommended. -- WikiAdmin
Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984)
- IMDB link
- This is a warning of what our society may become, and a highly recommended film for any sci-fi fan. The nudity is mostly non-sexual, and is used to escape the society they live in. This may not be for kids though, since it contains an extended torture scene towards the end. -- WikiAdmin
Nude on the Moon (1962)
- IMDB link
- A classic 'sexploitation' film with horrible dialog, low-budget filming, and plenty of topless nudity. Unless you have an overwhelming desire to see boobs, this film isn't recommended unless your hosting a 'bad movie night'. It doesn't support nudism, but does show a top-free alien environment where the astronauts make sure to take lots of pictures. The subjects don't do anything that makes sense, but it's OK as long as they look cute doing it while the astronauts are taking pictures. At least the bonus scene way at the end presents a realistic scenario. -- WikiAdmin
Quest For Fire (1981)
- IMDB link
- A cave-man movie. I suppose it's good if you're into those types of movies, but I personally didn't think much of it. No male nudity, and only body-painted female nudity. There's a fair amount of violence and gross stuff, and several not-so-romantic sex scenes. All-in-all, not recommended. -- WikiAdmin
Road to Wellville (1994)
- IMDB link
- The most amazing part of this movie is that it's based on the true story of the beginnings of Kellogg's cereal, and the story of Dr. Kellogg at the Battle Creek Sanitarium. There's a decent amount of implied nudity, and a little female nudity, since it's based in a health spa. There's also a fair amount of gross stuff, which makes it a not-so-good choice for youngsters. For a good idea of what the film contains, check Dr. Kellogg's biography. This movie is worth checking out just for the historical context, and should give you a few laughs. -- WikiAdmin
Sheena (1984)
- IMDB link
- Although there is a bit of violence, this one is safe for kids. It has tribal nudity, but it's all casual and has no sexual intent. The movie is full of African wildlife and beautiful scenery. The plot is enjoyable, and is centered around Sheena, the animals, an outsider, and the tribe fending off a small army invading their space. Make sure to inform the kids that Sheena is riding a painted horse, not a zebra, so that they don't confuse the two. All-in-all, this is a pretty good movie and is recommended for all ages. -- WikiAdmin
A Shot in the Dark (1964)
- IMDB link
- A dry-humored comedy and murder mystery. There's hardly any violence, and the scene at the nudist colony shows no nudity, as does their nude drive home. It's safe for kids, but I'm not sure if it'll hold their interest. I still haven't solved the mystery though... -- WikiAdmin
Sirens (1994)
- IMDB link
- Based on a true story about Norman Lindsay, this movie should be seen by any fan of nude art. The film has no violence, and only mild erotic content. Of course every painting, every statue, every modeling session, and every swim contains nudity. It's body-positive and deals with both sexes. To top it off, it brings in a fair amount of Australian culture and scenery. (And it emphasizes the number of dangerous critters that live there.) I'd recommend this film for all ages, but the kids might be bored. -- WikiAdmin
Summer Lovers (1982)
- IMDB link
- Best described as a case study for polyamory
, this film is about a couple who fall in love with another woman, and end up in a successful 3-way relationship. There's plenty of casual nudity in the Greek island lifestyle. People are topless or nude on their balconies, on the beaches (despite the signs), and in the water. Everyone appears completely comfortable with nudity, and almost all of it is non-sexual. There are no bra's in the film, as far as I can tell. There's also no violence, making it safe for kids to watch -- but it may give them ideas of trying consensual non-monogamy. This is an over-all good film, and is recommended to everyone. -- WikiAdmin
Swimming Pool (2003)
- IMDB link
- A prude British writer spends some time enjoying the second home of her boss, and ends up sharing it with her boss's daughter. The daughter has a new boy almost every night, drinks, and smokes pot. These ideals eventually rub off onto the writer. The daughter ends up killing a guy, and both conspire to keep it a secret. There is casual nudity around the house, skinny-dipping and sunbathing, but also several sex scenes. Because of the drugs, murder, and sex, this movie probably isn't one for the kids. I thought the movie wasn't very good, so it's not recommended. -- WikiAdmin
