Mazo Beach Nude Olympics 2009
The Mazo Beach community is bringing back the Nude Olympics! This event is set for the weekend of July 11th, which is also during TNS's Nude Recreation Week.
The event this year is different than in years past. Previously, this event was organized by the
Friends of Mazo Beach
. In 2008, the event never took place due to a variety of reasons. This year, I offered to organize it as a community-driven event, with their support.
As a community event, volunteers are needed to contribute in small ways. Below are all of the roles that are needed for this event to be successful, and who is volunteering to take them on.
If a role is blank, a volunteer is needed -- feel free to add your name by clicking the "Edit" button below the table!
Note: Volunteers need to also send their contact information to me (admin @ wwncw.org) so that I am able to contact you. This way, I can confirm that you'll be at the event and that you're able to fulfill any tasks that you've volunteered for.
Players: If you want to play games, there's no need to sign up before the event. Talk to the game coordinators during the event and they'll get you in.

Prizes
There will be a chinese raffle, where each prize has a bucket for tickets. Prizes currently include:
- TNS membership for one year.
- "World Guide to Nude Beaches" books.
- "The Funny Side of Going Naked" books.
- Wind-up LED flashlight.
- Auto-counting change bank.
- Sarongs.
- Bug spray and sun block packages.
- Other items TBD. Whatever we can collect between now and then.
- To donate something, contact me via "admin @ wwncw.org".
There are two ways to earn tickets:
- Win a game. You earn tickets based on how many teams are in the tournament. If there's a volleyball tournament with 5 teams, each player on the winning team would get 5 tickets.
- Volunteer for a task below. The number of tickets you get is listed with each task. This way, you still have a chance at a prize even though you aren't able to play.
Food
The Friends of Mazo Beach are in charge of buying, bringing, and preparing the main course.
The rest of the meal is a potluck. If you would like to help out in this effort, please
contact them
.
Anyone who brings a dish to pass will get one ticket for the prize raffle.
General Activities
The Friends of Mazo Beach are in charge of buying, bringing, and preparing food. If you would like to help out in this effort, please
contact them
.
Other general tasks are listed here as well.
Games
The games will run all day, and can be from person vs. person to full tournaments. Contact the game coordinators during the Olympics to play.
Volleyball
A naturist favorite. Tournaments will be of different skill levels, different team sizes, and different tournament sizes.
Badminton
Tournaments will be of different skill levels, and different tournament sizes.
Frisbee Golf
Similar to real golf. Substitute a frisbee for a golf ball and club, and a circle in the sand or something to shoot at for the hole. You're goal is to get your frisbee in the circle, in the chair, in the basket, or to hit a pole in as few throws as possible.
Long Jump / Relay Races
A modern twist on the core Ancient Olympic games.
- Beach-long run (touch the flag and return)
- Team relay (fill a bucket with water in turn, or similar)
- Long jump
Other Games
Do you have a game that's easy to play and able to be played on the beach? Add it here, bring it, and have a good time. As an example, I've added horseshoes. (If someone wants to bring this, add your name in the Volunteer column.)
By bringing a game, that makes you the Game Coordinator and entitles you to 5 tickets.

- Doug, I've e-mailed FOMB suggesting that they might want to mention this on their site, no response so far. Nothing on Badger Naturists. I don't mean to butt in, but the success of this event depends on folks knowing it exists. Maybe you can get something going with them. It seems like somethng both groups would want to promote. - Steve -- WikiGuest - 22 May 2009
- @Steve - Good question! I don't see a need to sign up before the event. If you show up and talk to the game coordinators, they'll get you in. Games run all day, so I don't expect a long waiting list. -- WikiAdmin - 21 May 2009
- Are folks encouraged to sign up ahead of time with various event cordinators if they want to participate in games, or just to volunteer? Steve (All Nudist) -- WikiGuest - 20 May 2009
